Recent lament from a coaching client about the long to do list this time of year is certainly echoed by many as a byproduct of the season.  So a timely reminder to let only what you love & enjoy best about the holidays be on your list.  Overwhelm leaves little energy for anything else!

Modify to simplify or eliminate as much as possible to allow more time for the Joy & Fun elements of the season!  Self-care rule #1: Tending to your own enjoyment results in a more joyful YOU which in turn generates more joy in others as well.

Action point: Pull out that list and start crossing off a few or several  perhaps traditional, but non-essential items.   There!  Was that a sigh of relief?

Yes, you can change what you don’t like and do more of what brings you joy!

All it takes is a spark for igniting the creative imagination and passion of a fertile mind. Inspirational sparks can come from anywhere, at anytime. My spark was delivered this morning in a post from life coach colleague and friend, sending me riding the pensive
lyrical waves from a favorite Styx song, Come Sail Away. A gift in song with a life coaching approach for inspiring motivation, freedom, self-management and resilience.

On board, I’m the captain, so climb aboard
We’ll search for tomorrow on every shore.

And I’ll try, oh Lord, I’ll try to carry on

I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory
Some happy, some sad, I think of childhood friends & the dreams we had
We live happily forever, so the story goes.
But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold.
But we’ll try best that we can to carry on!

A gathering of Angels appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope and this is what they said,
“Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me ’

Wishing for you winds of change to help you ‘carry on’ as you sail through the season. Blessings of love, grace and hope as your companions launching the New Year with renewed spirit to captain your life using your unwavering True North as your guide. Sail on!
